For this story I revisited one of the places from my childhood. When my mother was on a maternity leave with my sister (which used to be unpaid and lasted for three years) she had to work extra hard to keep up with our growing needs. I remember her grabbing some clothes and random things and taking us to the market to sell them. We would spend days at the flee market trying to sell at least something and then later, before going home she would buy us each a hot dog. That was a fun time for me, there was always a lot of things happening and I got to wonder around the market and enjoy the randomness and the beauty of things that could be found there.
So I wanted to look at this place through the prism of a fashion story, I didn’t try to recreate the images from the past, just wanted to show that not much has changed since then, except for the excessive amount of clothes and other goods that back in my childhood were in shortage.
